THE DPS LAB

Our incubator for design-led performance.

THE DPS LAB, formally known as DPS Academy, is our artist creative development program and an incubator for new design-led performance work. Presented in partnership with The Princess Theatre and QUT, THE DPS LAB invites theatre makers of all disciplines to participate in an eight-part workshop series exploring Dead Puppet Society’s creative methodologies.

Sessions will focus on devising for visual theatre, production design and prototyping, story mapping, puppet manipulation and construction, creative producing, and preparing for production.

Over the course of the program, artists will undertake creative development of their own original performance concepts, under the mentorship of Dead Puppet Society.

THE DPS LAB is supported by The Jelley Family Foundation. Additional program support provided by Studio1.
