We regularly facilitate professional development workshops for teachers wanting to include puppetry and visual theatre in their work programs. Dead Puppet Society offers teachers the chance to be guided through our methodology of visual theatre and performance making, and offers a crash course in the skills needed to support school students in the areas of Puppetry, Contemporary Performance, Visual Theatre and Ensemble Performance.
Our two day professional development session gives teachers a hands on practical learning opportunity covering the following areas:
Introduction to puppetry and manipulation
Introduction to abstract and object puppetry
Devising for visual theatre
Storyboarding and stagecraft
Puppet construction
Shadow play
Visual theatre conventions and how to approach them
Directing for visual theatre and ensemble performance
Duration: Two-day workshop
Location: Dead Puppet Society HQ*
Cost: $295 + GST per participant

We will announce dates for our 2024 professional development workshops soon.
