Our School Sharks were designed for our production The Wider Earth and were the heroes of a scene in which the Beagle passed through a kelp forest. In watching these sharks make passes at a school of fish, this moment left the young Darwin awestruck at the beauty of their hunt and the interconnectedness of the ecosystems he was exploring.
School Shark
A direct replica of the design of the School Shark puppet used in our production The Wider Earth, Creative Director David Morton hopes this sculpture helps to raise awareness of the plight of shark populations worldwide.
