Dead Puppet Society offers artists the opportunity to train, play and learn new theatre making skills using the methodology that informs every process and new work we build for audiences across Australia and worldwide.
This two day masterclass will dive into the poetics of puppetry and manipulation, design principles and simple puppet construction, and also focus on the creation of image based theatre through ensemble performance.
Whether you're working with design-led theatre for the first time, or looking to create a new work, this masterclass will offer hands-on learning and accessible theatre making processes to be transformed into your practice at whatever stage of your career you are at.
Facilitated by Youth and Engagement Director Helen Stephens with a workshop run by Creative Director David Morton, this masterclass is designed to be an awe inspiring dive into worldbuilding, visual language and the creation of wonder on stage.
