FAQs - Collection

How to purchase a sculpture.

I’m interested in purchasing a sculpture from the Collection range. How do I place an order?
Please get in touch via info@deadpuppetsociety.com.au or visit our Gallery at 6 Annerley Road, Woolloongabba. Please be aware that our opening times vary from week to week as we work on various projects and the Gallery is not always open. Please contact us ahead of time to schedule a convenient appointment to ensure you don’t miss us.

We look forward to sharing the history and inspiration behind each artwork with you, and discussing the practical details of your purchase including estimated fabrication time.

How do I make payment?
Our preferred payment method is electronic bank transfer. We will provide an invoice with all the details.

Alternatively, you may pay for your sculpture in person, by visiting our Gallery at 6 Annerley Road, Woolloongabba. We will process your payment on a debit or credit card, using the online payment platform Square. Please contact us via info@deadpuppetsociety.com.au ahead of time to schedule a convenient appointment.

Please note, we will ask for a 50% deposit to be paid before beginning the fabrication of sculptures valued at $1,000 inc GST or more. The remaining 50% is to be paid upon delivery or collection of your artwork.

How do I collect my sculpture?
You can arrange to collect your sculpture from our Gallery at DPS HQ at a time that is convenient to you and our team. Please make an appointment in advance.

Do you offer delivery? What about packaging and delivery costs?
We can arrange for your sculpture to be delivered to your location. Availability and associated costs vary between sculptures. Contact us directly to discuss delivery details, packaging methods and any other additional charges that may apply based on your location.

How long will it take for my sculpture to be ready?
Some of our smaller sculptures including our Blue Skimmer Dragonflies and Blue Morpho Butterflies may be available for same-day purchase. However, as the majority of our works are made to order, we generally advise that the turnaround time for a new sculpture varies between four to six weeks.

We will provide an indicative timeline in early conversations or at the time of your purchase, and will work with you to meet particular occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and more.

I want to buy one of your hanging sculptures, do you arrange installation?
Dead Puppet Society does not offer installation services for our suspended artworks.

However for a small additional cost, we are happy to source all of the required ceiling tracks and rigging hardware (as showcased in our Gallery) and prepare the sculpture ready for a smooth and painless installation in your home or business.

I’m interested in a bespoke commission, how do I make that happen?
We love working with individual collectors and businesses to create bespoke artworks that perfectly suit your needs. This is a great opportunity for you to collaborate directly with our artists, and acquire the very first edition of a truly personalised piece.

Commissioned artworks are offered from $9,000 inc GST, to be determined based on the scale and complexity of the original sculpture. These new designs go on to become part of the DPS Collection range for other collectors to enjoy. A commensurate fee can be discussed for collectors wishing to acquire the sole edition of a bespoke creation.

Please contact Associate Creative Director, Matt Seery via info@deadpuppetsociety.com.au, to begin the conversation. We would be delighted to host you in our Gallery and Fabrication Workshop to share our artistic vision with you, and discuss our collaboration in person.
